  • “After graduating from university in Japan, I worked as an engineer at companies
in Tokyo and Shanghai. With a combination of too much work, a lack of sleep, an
unhealthy diet, and lots of stress; I felt like I was going to die….”

I moved to the United States due to my husband’s job and resigned from my job. The first thing that came to mind was that I had to jumpstart a healthy change in my life. I have the right to enjoy a healthier, happier life instead of being slave to sickness. I got sick so frequently, I had indigestion, loss of appetite, trouble sleeping, I always felt fatigued and had a lack energy, as well as mood swings for no reason. When you are in your 20s and early 30s, you think you don’t have to worry about health problems, but recent studies indicate that some disorders are greatly influenced by what you do in your 20s and 30s. As you get older your metabolism slows down. This is especially true after age 40. Then you will find that in your 50s and 60s health problems can sneak up on you. But what happens if you have daily habits to help you avoid getting sick?

Making healthy lifestyle changes overnight is not realistic. The human body is more complex and there are some factors that are not well known. Past trauma, unhealthy diet, postural habits at work and in everyday life, and unhealthy mindsets; as long as we are alive, various things in our body interfere with our normal functions. These can appear in pain in the short term, or eventually as a symptom of a larger condition. My job as a chiropractor is to help patients remove what blocks their normal functioning before they appear as signs of serious illness. And when the block is removed, the body will naturally go through a healing process. Your body wants to be healthier more than you think, such as when you fall and scrape your knee, the scratch will heal naturally even without you having done anything. You have only one body, there is no replacement. I am very grateful that I have this opportunity to help people to live a healthier and happier life.

On a Personal Note…

I like yoga, golf, snowboarding, cooking, and studying foreign languages. I especially like books and foreign movies, food, and experiencing different cultures.
